OC TRIVIA

Trivia about all of my characters! Cool lore bits and what-not here!

SONA

My Sona's right eye being covered is a representation of my actual half-blindness.
My left eye is totally fine, but my right eye is almost totally useless.
(Don't worry though, I can see just fine with only one of them!)

The diamond-shaped blush is supposed to give off a clownish/jesterish silly vibe.
I've also started to use the Diamonds card suit as a piece of consistent iconography for myself.

The angular look of the art for her is intended and is not just an artstyle choice.
I might cry if I ever saw her without angles.

She can close her mouth, but almost never does it aside from very specific moments.

My old Sona's "angel" form was inspired by the art that buttercupdemise made me.
It featured an "angel" version of me, and a regular version.
The angel version was just made out of love and just calling me cute names but
I thought for awhile that it would be fun to incorporate that into some part of the Sona.
Since I'm not using that Sona design anymore, I have no reason to do more with the angel form.
My new Sona will not have an alternative form.

MIRA

Mira, Monoko, and Half-Face's species is an "Abstractoid".

Mira's design is based off of an AI generated image I saw online that was made back when they sucked.
I hate GenAI with a passion, and I would not do something like this now,
even though taking some inspiration from it is less egregious than most cases.

Mira's placeholder name was "Poly-Girl".

MONOKO

Their's design is based off of Steve 'Leif' Kareha from Yume Nikki.
Originally while drawing them, I was trying to draw Steve instead, and made a mistake. That mistake turned into Monoko.

Despite Monoko's name being shared with another Yume Nikki character, it was surprisingly NOT on purpose.

In my scrapped RPG idea, they were a silent protagonist to allow you to "get in the role" easier.

Monoko's grey face plate is connected onto their actual face (the black part).
This face plate can melt/tear off as they die. If it is taken off regularly, they will lose consciousness instead of dying.
Putting it back on requires special care.

Monoko can gain enough power to be heavily influenced by "the essence of power itself",
which can cause incredible or horrible outcomes.

This is the first proof of concept dialogue I wrote for Monoko, Mira, and Spindel.

Despite the fact that Mira was created first, I consider Monoko my first OC.
Mira was created in a very specific way that I consider not fully original.

SPINDEL

She is ageless due to the simple fact that it just doesn't feel right to give her an actual age range.
If she DID have an age, it'd be 23.

She is lactose intolerant.

Her sharp teeth are unnatural. She actually chipped away her teeth into the shape of them.

Spindel's teeth were taken from a scrapped Jester OC design that was heavily inspired by NiGHTS,
specifically an unused texture in which they show very sharp teeth.
The Jester was scrapped due to accidentally becoming a general retread of the idea that Spindel already had taken,
and the fact that my ability to draw funny Jester clothing is... non-existant.

She has a flying bicycle inspired by Eggman's Eggmobile.
However, her legs are too short to pedal well enough and tires herself out really quickly, making it
fall to the ground and break most of the time.

Monoko and Spindel's first time meeting was at a grocery store.
Spindel tried to hold every ketchup bottle she could and ran out of the store without paying,
eventually terrorizing a neighborhood by using a giant ketchup blaster on people's houses.
This was also her first evil invention.

MISC

Marcie likes playing video games, is extremely online, and says shit like "skibidi sigma" ironically.

Originally, I had considered having Melissa be attracted to Mira.

Charlotte's personality is partly based on myself and Burgerpants from Undertale.

Caroline was changed from a lesbian to bisexual, as I felt that
my characters were getting too reflective of my own self.

Jeffery is based off of Mr.Saturn from Earthbound.

Tubular Guy's design was made by my partner, who based it off of my own (lost) drawing of the glasses
(which were meant to be eyes).
